Moments of Motion

Project Statement
A look into motion design and simple animation over a semester. The focus is to learn new skills that may not be taught in some courses and to expand the amount of knowledge that I have about different topics. I will learn these new ideas and concepts by completing one small piece of motion design, animation, or CGI five days a week for 20 minutes daily.

Project Description
I hope that by the end of the semester, I will have more knowledge surrounding motion design and possibly even deeper topics like some CGI work. I want to expand my knowledge to cover almost all areas of design to aid in my ability to effectively portray messages to the public. For the most part, each day, there will be a different piece of work produced rather than a continued project over the semester, which is why most of the pieces may appear on the simpler side of possible designs. I have not had much experience in motion design, which is what interests me about the topic, and I want to see if I truly want to work in motion and film design
like I am currently thinking. This project is a way for me to learn more about the topic and see how I react to working in a specific area to see if I truly like the idea of working in motion design. An example of a popular motion designer is Maxim Zhestkov, who works to show connections between the physical and the digital work by creating designs that follow the way that physics functions.
